My inspiration
Around 2002 Elly Verrijt from De Gaarde introduced me to green spirituality, or eco-spirituality, a
subject I study with love. The writings of Thomas Berry are a source of inspiration. I feel a connection
with what Joanna Macy refers to as 'the work that reconnects'. In 2006 I created P.R.E.T.:
Performances and Rituals for Ecological Transformation. As a visual artist, poet and performer I am
active in that sense at home and abroad. Art and life experience give me creative energy, which I
apply in a playful way in situations where it can be useful for man and earth.
